› Youth Sport Classes
These monthly programs are designed to focus on the fundamental of each sport and help children learn to play while having fun. Classes will be held on Wednesday Evenings in the YMCA gymnasium. Classes will be offered in soccer, flag football, and indoor t-ball. The YMCA will also be offering an all-sport class which will focus on a different sport each week.

This monthly program is designed for children ages 6-12 to ensure that every child has fun while learning the game of basketball and the rules of play.

› Youth Tennis
The YMCA welcomes the GV Tennis Academy, a tennis organization dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of tennis for beginners all the way up to elite players. GV Tennis Academy's director/coach Guillermo Varela has been a professional tour player and has coached many young competitive players from around the world. Now he brings his vast experience to the YMCA to promote tennis to children in an innovative and revolutionary method called Quick Start Tennis. Quick Start Tennis was designed to make the learning process a lot easier and more fun. The GV Tennis Academy will run the clinics in the YMCA's gymnasium using portable equipment such as junior tennis nets, lines, and cones. Players will use soft, harmless tennis balls and juniors tennis racquets.

› Team Tournament Tennis
GV Tennis Academy will hold Team Tournament Tennis on Thursdays for intermediate to advanced players. Team Tournament Tennis will work on match play skills with in-house and outside matches. For ages 8-14 year olds on Thursdays at 6:30-7:30pm.
› Teen and Adult Tennis
This class is designed for the beginner to intermediate level player who is interested in improving their fundamentals such as strokes and footwork. Classes will be held on Thursdays from 7:30-8:30pm.

› Fencing
Fencing begins on September 9th and lasts for 10 weeks. During the session beginners will learn the basics such as attacks, parries, advances, and retreats. Intermediate-advanced fencers will be able to develop their skills through instruction and practice.

Introductory Martial Arts class. Regular martial arts training helps children learn respect, self discipline and concentration. Your child will also gain self confidence and improve self esteem. Kids are taught basic blocks, kicks, punches, falls and rolls while having fun.

This program is designed to develop confidence, coordination, and self-esteem while learning traditional Japanese karate. We place an emphasis on developing the mind, body, and spirit through physical fitness, philosophy, and daily living. Kids will learn skills like blocks, punches, kicks, strikes, falls, rolls, and throws. Traditional Kata (forms) are taught, and promotions are held throughout the year once required techniques are learned and mastered.

› Karate for Adults age 13-99
This class helps you and your teen to invest in healthy habits of fitness and learn valuable self-defense. This is based on the traditional Japanese art of Koei-Kan Karate-Do and places emphasis on developing the individual, no matter the age.
The class teaches the foundations of traditional Kata (forms), throws, blocks, kicks, strikes, and punches. History, philosophy, and training make this a never-ending learning system.
Classes are taught in monthly sessions.
